The following are blog postings from myspace.com. I will attempt to blog here.

So there I was sound asleep at three in the afternoon on Saturday. Yeah yeah, I know..but I had to be up early for work so I was entitled to a nap.
I awoke to what I thought were the dogs fighting and destroying the living room. I got up to kick some ass, but they were both in the room with me.
I looked outside and some yahoo had hit some safety signs and a parked car across the street from my house and kept going. A bunch of neighbors and some people that were following this idiot tracked him down and called the cops.
So of course I had to put on some shorts and go survey the damage for myself. What a mess!
There were a bunch of us hanging out and talking about what had just happened and what we saw and what they did. Just like a regular scene whenever the cops show up.
It was just like a COPS episode. There was a woman missing teeth and everything. Turns out I was the shirtless redneck in this scene.
At least the shirtless redneck didn't wind up in the back of the cop car in this episode.

So last week as I was eating dinner in the living room, I noticed all the cars slowing down in front of my house, and I'm thinking...do I have food on my face or something. I got up and looked out the window and there were like a bazillion cop cars and the entire neighborhood out front. This time I grabbed a shirt as well as shorts and shoes (didn't want to be the shirtless redneck again...see last post)
Turns out, some guy jumped out of the car that he was riding in and went tumbling down the street. My neighbor Matt was out there holding a cloth on his head to try and stop the bleeding. So, the entire neighborhood is out there watching this.
When EMS got there, they did what they do. They rolled him on his side and the blood was draining from his face...mouth, nose..everywhere.
I thought I could stomach anything...not this time. WHAMO down I went. I came to with some of the neighborhood standing over me asking "are you ok"? Sure I said and got up. KAPOW. Down again...How flippin' embarassing.
A special thanks to Tad, Sam and Matt for catching me the second time. I was just so relieved that I didn't soil myself when I went down. I would have had to move because of the embarassment.
Our neighborhood could do without the excitement!

Yeah Yeah...so I never promised that I would update with any frequency. Who reads these things anyway.
We've been so busy at work. All I do when I'm done is go home and try to relax!
However, My current project at home is re-doing the basement. The last roommate that we had living down there had two dogs. They ripped wallpaper and sheetrock from the wall so I decided that I would just put paneling up. Wow, that was so much fun. I don't think that the dumbass that built the house knew what a straight line is!
Nothing down there is in a straight line..I know...I used a level. So anyway, the paneling is up, now it's carpet and trim work. But again, nothing is straight so I can't even have the carpet cut for me..I'll be down there with a razor trying to custom fit it.
Is it just me or is it everytime you decide to do something yourself instead of having a professional do it, it takes like 20 times longer and nothing ever goes as planned?
And do the professionals have these problems too, but they are just so professional that they don't say anything?
So..hopefully in the next week or two it will finally be done.

So, here it is about three months later and I'm updating the blog. Is there really any point to it?
I leave tomorrow for Tucson to visit my Mother. She has been begging me to come out and visit her since she moved there. She moved there in September of 2005.
My Father kicked the bucket back in '97 and she braved out almost ten more Winters in Minnesota.Since she has moved there, she has decieded that she was going to burn through my inheritance. She has gone on rafting trips, bought a new car, got a front-loading washer and dryer, re-tiled here kitchen and a bunch of other stuff.
I'm sure you think that I am upset about all this. I'm not. I don't care what she does with her money. Afterall, it is hers to spend. Actually, we joke about her spending it.
So, what am I going to do there besides check out sand and cactus? I have NO freakin' clue. I may try and visit friends in Phoenix.. For all we know, the plane could crash on the way there.
Now that I just read all of that back, I seem like Mr. Random thought guy. But those of you that really know me, know that's how I am.

I know I should just be grateful that my Mother has a computer at all. But would it hurt her to have high-speed vs. dial-up access? Hell, she doesn't even have cable TV. I thought that is what retired people do, sit around watching all the Judge shows and Oprah.
On a more serious note, I went to Phoenix the other day. I had some fun and came back the next day.
On the way back, I stopped at the Gila River Indain Reservation cultural center and museum. I had just finished reading "Flags of our Fathers". Ira Hayes (one of the flag raisers) was born and raised on the Gila River Reservation.
I wanted to learn a little more about him and look around. Well, the cultural center had a tiny museum with hardly any mention of him. I asked for directions to the Ira Hayes memorial. It was only another 6 miles out of my way so I went.
As I was driving out there through the reservation. I really felt a sense of sadness and shame. It is unbelievable the poverty and totally crappy land that Native Americans have. I know it is not my fault, but it is shameful how the US Government has treated them. Shame also needs to be placed on some of the tribes themselves. They have built casinos with the promise of a better life for their people. I can only imagine that just like the US Government, it is the higher-ups in the tribal structure that are living high on the hog.
Well, enough of my social commentary. It is supposed to start warming up here tomorrow....the day that I freakin' leave.
I'm not bitter...just COLD!

Wow, it's been a long time since I've written anything here.
Been pretty busy at work. Working the morning shift now due some staff departures. Not my favorite part of the day to be awake, but hell, I'm a team player so I do what I have to do to get the job done.
Off to the horse fair this morning. "It's not a horse show, it's a horse fair, and you gotta be there" I've lived in Madison now for 10 years next month. I've never been there. It was freakin' huge!! I can't believe that I had never gone before, I'm looking forward to it again next year!!
Came home, took a nap and then got up and started working on getting the garage cleaned-up. Funny how cluttered it gets over the Winter.
How the hell does one aquire so much crap?!? I found stuff I had no idea that I had. Car parts to cars that I had 15 years ago, cars that I never owned and just general crap. I even found a box of crap that as supposed to be donated to the thrift store...oops!
After getting the garage straightened up a bit, (It's still a work in progress) I decided to fire up the hoopty POS (Piece of Sh**) that has been sitting in the driveway unmoved for almost a year.
Of course the battery was dead, so I got it going. I figured I'd take it for a spin around the block. Not a good idea.
Backed out of the driveway OK, went to take it around the block. On the way back I had to come up a hill. So, I hit the accelerator and the damn thing stuck. So there I am doing about 30 and coming up to a stop sign. SHIT!!! I was tapping and tapping the pedal to try and free it. I ended up having to shut it off to keep from flying into a busy intersection.
But the troubles aren't done yet..oh no, that only happens to other people.
As I went to re-start it, it wouldn't, the battery hadn't worked up enough charge. So, I had to let it coast back down the hill and I had to park it and walk home. Lucky for me, I have a portable jumper pack and I was only a block from home. Got it on there and fired it up...or course the accelerator was still stuck so I had to shut it off.
I found the accelerator cable under the hood and got it freed up. Tried to restart it but I must have flooded it cause the damn thing wouldn't restart and the jumper pack was now running low on juice.
I waited about ten minutes and it finally fired up. I got it back home and parked it. I really need to get rid of that thing.
I bought it as a Winter beater when I bought the Scion TC. When I got the new Tacoma there was no need for it. I just have a hard time with putting it up for sale because I bought it for $500, then put $300 something in it for breaks, another $300 something for new tires, I also had to change out the battery and the starter.
SO, I know I probably won't even get $500 for it and I'm out all that money. I'll have to suck it up and just try to sell it I guess. Any ideas?

Well, I don't know if that's what you call them but that's what I call them.
So, I took this sweater-shirt hybrid of a garment out of the closet to wear to work today and I notice that I have these nippley looking things on my shoulders. Argh, I hate when that happens. Just about as much as when you pull a dark shirt out of the closet and it has dust lines on the shoulders because I haven't worn it in so long.
Or what about the pants you haven't worn in so long that there is that weird crease across your thigh. BTW, those tend to be the dressier pants..the ones that I wear maybe once a year.
I know there are bigger things in life to worry about, like kids with cancer, but when you are trying to get ready for work at 4am, I just don't feel like having these issues.
I was thinking about going out tonight, but it seems when I plop down in front of the computer I just get so demotivated to do anything.
Speaking of computers, I am toying with the idea of technoverting, that's what I call it. I'm thinking of getting rid of the internet at home, my cell phone when the contract is up,cable TV and go back to the way things used to be. Maybe I would actually get out of the house more and interact with people in person vs. chatting and emailing.
I guess we'll see how that goes. I held off getting a cell phone for years. Thanks to my former show partner VM for getting me started on that when she gave me her old phone and I got service with no contract.
Oh, and speaking of cell phones. Why can't they just make a simple phone anymore? You know, one that basically receives calls and places calls. I don't need to pay for all the extra crap. MP3 players, cameras, texting, ringtones, etc. Just give me a basic phone.
Seems most people want to have the latest and greatest in technology. Sometimes it's nice, but sometimes it's just too damn much.
Funny how my mind wanders, I started talking about shoulder nipples and ended up on a tech rant. I wonder if I should be consulting someone about medication.
I'm sure I could go on about that as well, but maybe we'll save that for another day.

Yesterday was a day of rest after three long days raising money for St. Jude. It was well worth it.
I let my dog out like any other day. He's on a 30ft cable tie out so he can only go so far. Sometimes he sees a rabbit and goes after it up to the 30ft cut off.
Yesterday, there were a couple of rabbits playing, chasing each other. He saw those rabbits and went after them. Nothing special right?
This time, it was hilarious!! They came back around and were taunting him. They would hop away, and them come back around. They came within 20ft of him and left. Came back around and got closer and closer. Finally Mr. Bunny was about a foot away.
He started barking this time and they left for good. Meanwhile I'm standing in the door watching and laughing my ass off.If only I would have had a video recorder! If you are looking for a gift for my upcoming birthday, I have planted the seed of what you could get me
